Good morning! I hope that you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend with family and friends. Well, it is the first part of the month and you know what that means. It’s time to do the numbers.

 

·        Summer is finishing strong this year for the Washington County housing market. Most notably for the month of August, the Average Sale Price increased 17.2% compared to August of 2015. This helped increase Average Sale Price YTD to 7.44% compared to 2015.

 

·        Look to the end of September and October for an increase in New Listings on the market which is customary for fall. Also, look for an increase in buyer activity as the city fills up when the temperatures come down.

 

·        Another hot topic this month, look to the FED as an increase in interest rates is the big question on everybody’s mind. If there is an increase, it is expected to be marginal but it could affect a buyers purchase power.
