Good morning and I hope that your weekend was fantastic! It is the first part of the month and you know what the means. It’s time to do the numbers. We are in the middle of summer which typically signifies a bit of a slowdown for the St George market because of the heat but 2015 and 2016 have broken that trend. In July, the absorption rate and days on market decreased while average sale price and pending listings increased which all contribute to the increased sales activity we have seen this summer.

 

·         Absorption Rate                               July 2016- 4.32%               July 2015- 5.75%               24% Decrease

·         Average Days on Market              July 2016- 75                       July 2015- 89                      15% Decrease

·         Average Sale Price                           July 2016- $261,605          July 2015- $246,836         5% Increase

·         Pending Listings                                July 2016- 420                    July 2015- 387                    8% Increase

 

See the full July report below. August should show the same trends but we will have to wait for next month’s numbers to be sure.
